Matthias Rodach trained as a stonemason and stone sculptor in Munich, then studied sculpture at the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts. His works engage with the great questions of life: Who are we? How do we treat one another? What is happening to us, and to humanity's so-called achievements? To the “scarcity of time”? To the ever-advancing automation, dehumanisation, and the exploitation of our living environment? And how do we feel about all of this?
